Santas, Smiles, and Social for Sprint

To drive foot traffic into Sprint’s brick and mortar stores across the country, increase brand awareness and spread a little holiday cheer, GNF orchestrated over 100 “Pictures with Santa” events in select Sprint locations throughout the month of December.

A portion of each Sprint store was transformed into a winter wonderland—complete with Sprint-ribboned gifts and a candy cane for every kid. “People were whistling, humming, laughing,” noted Tom, GNF’s on-site manager at the Sprint store in Duluth, Georgia. “Several children were barely able to contain their joy.”

The campaign, designed to go hand-in-hand with Sprint’s standing as a wireless technology giant, took the average pictures with Santa to a new level by offering both digital and print versions. As parents shared their photos on social media—tagging Sprint and using an event-specific hashtag—their pictures printed simultaneously on-site.

Countless families, kids, couples, college students—and even some pets—visited their local Sprint stores to get a picture with Santa. The photos shared to Instagram and Twitter have an estimated, organic audience of over 1.5 million.
