Freixenet Spring Break 2023!

This past March, Freixenet stepped into the Spring Break space by rolling out their “Freix-Break” custom branded truck to bring some fun and excitement to the Clearwater Beach area.

For two whole weeks the truck traversed local Florida beaches prompting beachgoers and spring breakers alike to “Spin the Bottle”. When parked, consumers could step on up to the prize wheel and grab hold of the Freixenet bottle replica in order to win flip flops, sunscreen, a visor, sunglasses, or paddleball game set. The brand even joined forces with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation so that each spin of the wheel was associated with a specific monetary donation that went directly to the nonprofit to help aid in the fight against childhood cancer.

A local sand sculptor was brought on board to create a visual masterpiece while passerby’s watched live. Starting as early as 5am, the team built, carved, and sculpted a massive Freixenet bottle out of beach sand, adorning it with waves and a beach ball made completely out of sand as well. Signs with QR codes were embedded in the sculpture which, when scanned, opened a custom Instagram filter allowing consumers to capture and share the interactive experience and even digitally “write” on the sand bottle.

This unique Instagram filter tied into Freixenet’s ongoing “Message on a Bottle” program which focuses on personalizing the cava with custom calligraphy, making it the perfect gift for any occasion. For the duration of the spring break tour, consumers could follow along to find select liquor stores in the St. Pete and Tampa area who were offering this complimentary service so that they could get their own Freixenet bottle customized with purchase.
