WE ARE ALL CONNECTED
In the world of non-profits, impactful branding is extremely important to give an organization
a unique and distinguishable look while trying to instantly convey a message about the ultimate purpose for being. This is clearly demonstrated in our work for SixDegrees, a non-profit organization created by Kevin Bacon, to support local communities on the issues that matter most to them including youth education, equality, and sustainability, to name a few.
Most everyone is aware of the pop culture phenomenon of “six degrees of Kevin Bacon” based on the idea that any actor can be linked to Kevin Bacon in six steps or fewer, and the organization borrows from this with the creation of a mission that we are all connected by our shared compassion to unite and bring about positive change.
Everything in our re-branding exercise was created to reinforce this connectivity including our new logo that is not only tilted at a precise 6 degrees, but was created to symbolize just how closely related we all are from one another. Original Logo

The SixDegrees.org logo sets the tone for the brand. It says: we are bold and we are all connected. The 6 Degree cut off visually demonstrates just how closely connected we all are.
These Four Pillar Logos are integral to the brand.
