It’s was a Virtual Workshop for the winner of the latest Honey Maid Made Co. contest: Design a Dog Toy. Our 11 year old winner, Sophia from Northbrook, IL, “met” the co-founders of PrideBites, Sam and Steven, in an online video conference from their new offices in Austin, TX. They shared with Sophia the ‘PrideBites origins’ story, introduced their corporate mascots (Mona, Coop and Lou) and walked her through the design and production process. Sophia got to see how her original sketch was transformed into engineering drawings for manufacture and got a tour of the factory. Two weeks letter her real toy arrived!
PrideBites was started in Los Angeles by four guys under the age of 25 who took their passion for dogs to the next level. This passion sparked their interest to give back to the dog community through their “Buy a Toy, Help Save a Dog” movement. They wanted dogs to take PRIDE in the quality of their toys, while giving back to the pet community, so PrideBites was formed. For every toy sold, PrideBites donates to animal shelters and other organizations that help dogs in need. Visit them at www.PrideBites.com.
We spent the day today at the Mondelēz kitchens with our Honey Maid Prize Winning Chef, Leah, from Allentown, PA. Leah won the Made Co. Honey Maid Recipe contest with her scrumptious “Just My Size Peanut Butter Pie.”
Her miniature pies featured a Honey Maid crust, with a multi-layer taste explosion of chocolate ganache, peanut butter, and a peanut butter cream topping.
Leah, along with the culinary experts at Mondelēz, recreated her winning recipe for a professional photo shoot. The recipe will be featured on the Nabisco Honey Maid package and web site.
The prize experience for Leah included meeting the Honey Maid brand manager, product development team, the sensory lab team and the consumer insights team all so she could get a sense of how Honey Maid products get made.
We’re at Comic Con today in New York along with 125,000 attendees and the winner of the Honey Maid Made Co contest to create a new super hero character. GNF forged the strategic partnership between Honey Maid and SuperHeroStuff.com (the largest superhero store online), for this unique contest.
The goal: offer the winner a one-of-a-kind experience to see their creation get made. Our winner Lilly, from Austin, TX, had the good fortune of traveling to NYC with her mom to Comic Con. Lilly, working side-by-side with renowned DC Comics artist and writer Mike Norton, transformed her winning design into a bona fide superhero character: “Felice,” with side-kick “Meeka.” SuperHeroStuff will produce limited edition T-Shirts and Posters featuring Felice and Meeka for Lilly to show-off to all of her friends. Big thanks to Honey Maid, SuperHeroStuff and Mike Norton for showing Lilly how stuff gets made!
Chicago in February can be a cold place and everyone is looking to #BREAKFREE from that cold and head somewhere a bit warmer. This past weekend, Virgin Mobile gave the people of Chicago that opportunity.
On Saturday, February 23, Virgin Mobile held the “#BREAKFREE to Miami Scavenger Hunt” in the Park West neighborhood of Chicago around their flagship store located at 2562 N Clark St, Chicago, IL. Consumers who signed up to participate were given clues taking them all over the neighborhood to local hot spots and landmarks such as Floyd’s Barber Shop, The Weiner Circle, and the Goethe statue in Lincoln Park. Those that were able to figure out all the clues then returned to the Virgin Mobile store where, as a result of completing the hunt, they were entered into a random drawing to win a trip for them and a guest to fly down to Miami for a long weekend to BREAKFREE of the cold. Tom Walker was the lucky winner of the trip as well as a brand new Samsung Galaxy SII 4G, courtesy of Virgin Mobile.
While there was no proof of colored smoke or wriggling of noses, wishes came true for consumers in Houston this past week at the Boost Mobile 4Genie Event. Having already granted the wish of affordable 4G service, the Boost Mobile 4Genie decided to personalize his powers by awarding the most creative and original wishes to several lucky consumers.
In Houston, whether trying to beat the heat at The Galleria Mall or embrace it at Kemah Boardwalk, consumers divulged their grandest wish in the 4Genie Wish Fulfillment Center Video Booths. The Boost Mobile 4Genie then reviewed the videos and granted the chosen individual wishes. Just think, if we can grant consumers everywhere AFFORDABLE 4G service – imagine what else we made come true.
Grammy night is one of the biggest nights in Hollywood year after year. Every February the stars of the music industry make their way to Los Angeles to celebrate the achievements of the best in their business. This year, courtesy of Boost Mobile, two lucky winners also made their way to Hollywood to “Party Like a Celebrity” for Grammy weekend. The winners received VIP treatment: accommodations at the luxurious W Hotel in Hollywood, a VIP tour of Los Angeles, first class spa and salon experiences and to top it all off, they had their very own Grammy’s screening at Station Hollywood just outside the W Hotel. The winners were also given their own Boost Mobile LG Marquee handsets with one year of complimentary service.
