It was quite a sight at the Quick Check Festival of Ballooning in Readington, NJ! For the third year in a row, we drove the Swedish Fish Mobile to this impressive festival – more hot air balloons in one place than you ever seen!
For everyone keeping their feet on the ground – we offered a fun and delicious experience at the Swedish Fish Truck. GNF’s staff handed out thousands and thousands of Swedish Fish and Sour Patch Kid samples. We also held our favorite “Guess How Many Fish Are in the Tank” contest. The winners received the coveted Swedish Fish gift basket including a branded towel, hat and beach ball.
For all the Swedish Fish Groupies out there – our next stop will be on October 5th in Murfreesboro, TN at the Dollar General 1,000th store opening. See you there!
The 2013 Dew Tour kicked-off this past weekend in Ocean City, MD and the Stride brand was out in full force. Over the course of the 5-day event, thousands of consumers made their way to the Stride Experience where they were able to watch slacklining competitions and actually tryout the sport themselves.
Slacklining has been taking the world by storm and Stride brought it to the beach again this year, once again making it the focal point of the sponsor village. With a little encouragement from Stride, consumers stepped-out of their comfort zone to test their balance and athletic skills while trying to traverse the 2-inch wide slackline. Also, throughout the day, the pro-slackliners from Gibbons Slackline put on shows for the crowd and held a Stride Slackline Jam with championship slackliners from all over the world. Everyone who tried the slackline got their photo taken and immediately emailed off to them so they could share it with friends via social media.
Plus, Stride brought their new iOS app, Gumulon, to the Stride pod for people to play. It’s the first every chew-activated game. By using one of the iPads at the gaming area, people could chew stride as they faced the iPad to move Ace, the game character, through the world of Gumulon and escape getting eaten by the monster. And as if that wasn’t enough, it was almost impossible to find someone who wasn’t chewing Stride because of the thousands of samples we handed-out around the Dew Tour venue.
It’s a chilly day here at the Swedish Fish Mobile! We’ve stopped at Waterworks Park in good ol’ Des Moines, IA where Hy-Vee hosts the annual Hy-Vee Fishing Derby, an event benefiting the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization of Central Iowa.
Today marks the very first stop for our famous red fish-topped vehicle that will traverse the country for the 10th year in a row! We’re eagerly setting up shop as this event anticipates over 30,000 people! As always, our Swedish Fish Mobile is offering fish-tastic fun! Not only are we offering delicious samples of Swedish Fish and Sour Patch Kids, but we’re giving everyone who stops by the chance to guess how many candies are in our large fish tank! Three lucky winners will get a Swedish Fish towel, hat and beach ball.
This past weekend marked the second stop for Stride Gum and the Dew Tour. In the heart of “The City by the Bay” crowds were treated to incredible action sports events as well as some delicious Stride Gum. As they say, “When the lights go down in the City by the Bay, the slackers come out to play.”
Throughout the weekend, spectators enjoyed performances and instructional demonstrations by our Stride professional slackliners, as well as free samples of Stride’s brand new flavor, Mintacular. Consumers could try to slackline and, if successful, were rewarded with a Stride T-shirt proclaiming them to be “A Little Bit Epic.” Competitors from all over the world came to the Stride Experience to compete in the inaugural, “Stride International Slackline Open.” The winners’ podium indeed spanned the globe: in third place was Igor Zambelli from Brazil, second place went to the “Man from Japan,” Gappai, and just as he did at the Stride Dew Tour stop in Ocean City, Maryland, 15-year-old Alex “The Machine” Mason was crowned champion in San Francisco.
The Dew Tour kicked off this past weekend in Ocean City, MD and the Stride brand was out in full force. Over the course of the 4-day event, thousands of consumers made their way to the Stride Experience where they were given the chance to be “a little bit epic” by trying to slackline.
With a little encouragement from Stride, consumers stepped-out of their comfort zone to test their balance and athletic skills while trying to traverse the 2-inch wide slackline. Also, throughout the day, the pro-slackliners from Gibbons Slackline put on shows for the crowd and held a Stride Slackline Jam where 14-year-old Alex Mason was crowned champ. Everyone who stopped-by also got the chance to express how they are “A Little Bit Epic” on the Stride Epic Wall; this wall was full of personal statements and was a must-do for anyone who came to the Stride pod at the Dew Tour. And as if that wasn’t all enough, it was almost impossible to find someone who wasn’t chewing Stride’s new Shaun White Mintacular gum.
The Trident See What Unfolds Experiential Tour is on the road sparking fun wherever it goes. We made our way to Dallas for the weekend where our days were full of surprises as our larger than life Trident pack continued to unfold with activities that liberated folks from the boring and serious!
From, a one-of-a-kind giant sized color-by-number mural to music mash-ups to our colorful cafe – everyone who came to participate was into the fun and left with a great big smile – plus a sample of Trident gum. We are back on the road again. Look for us in Seattle and see what unfolds next!
“ATTENTION! AUDIENCE MEMBERS IN THE FRONT ROW MAY BE SPATTERED WITH LIQUIDS OR OTHER FOOD ITEMS.” This was the warning posted all over NYC’s Terminal 5 last night. The warning came before an hour-long set by world renowned DJ, Steve Aoki.
However, what “unfolded” afterwards was a surprise to everyone. The night was part of the launch of the Trident See What Unfolds experiential tour; the kickoff event marked the start of our 8-week tour that takes a larger-than-life-sized traveling pack of Trident Gum cross-country. While stopped in major cities the pack will unfold, presenting consumers with any number of surprise activities. The surprise at last night’s concert was a special mash-up set with DJ Steve Aoki and Duran Duran, who played a special remix of the group’s 80’s anthem, “Hungry Like The Wolf.” Trident fans should be on the lookout for the traveling pack in their city, because you’re never sure what fun may unfold!
